Robyn from the Toronto small press outfit Anchorless Press invited me to write an article of my choosing for their latest release, Year of Reviews. The issue will be released this afternoon at a launch party.

After roughing out a few different articles, I settled upon writing about my community’s and a neighbouring town’s reaction to the still unsolved murder of a pediatric nurse. Writing it was challenging because I didn’t want to discuss the crime itself, but rather how the crime was discussed and conceptualized by citizens.

It’s been more than a month since my trip to Winnipeg, and I still haven’t posted a thing about it. I’ve been to busy with other work but I will get around to it, because the trip was a great experience.
